[29 Mar 2008] TVB Stars support Olympics cheerleading competition

TVB stars, Myolie Wu and Kevin Cheng, went to support the start 'I Love Olympic Games School Cheerleading Competition' which was held in Beijing yesterday.





This series of competition is made up of three categories, which includes 校園拉拉隊大賽"、"2008助威歌唱大賽"和"歌舞青春，全國助威演唱會. These three categories will be held from 28 March 2008 to 8 August 2008. As famous entertainment stars in Hong Kong, TVB's leading actress Myolie Wu and handsome actor Kevin Cheng came to Beijing specially to cheer for the event. The two of them expressed that it is very exciting to participate in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games through this way. They will be supporting the participants and notice them throughout the whole event.

From what was known, there is currently a few hundred schools whose cheerleading teams are preparing enthusiastically for the competition. The national champion of the competition can be part of the 中國文體明星助威團, and support the related Olympic Games activities with stars.


[29 Mar 2008] Myolie does not know about Sir Run Run Shaw's critical condition

Myolie Wu and Kevin Cheng came specially to Beijing from Hong Kong to support the official ceremony of the 我愛奧運，校園拉拉隊大賽. When the both of them were asked about TVB's boss, Sir Run Run Shaw, and if his condition is as critcial as rumoured, they said that they have no idea.

The both of them appeared in sportswear and had a interactive session with the fans. They also gave a basketball to thank the fans which made the atmosphere lively. During the interview which took place after the function, the two famous TVB artistes were being asked about Sir Run Run Shaw's medical condition. Kevin Cheng said, "I only know that he is in the hospital but I did not hear anything about him being critically ill." Myolie Wu added, "It's very normal for old people to go for health checkups in the hospital." When being asked if they went to the hospital to visit him or greeted him through the phone, Myolie said, "He's the big boss, we do not have the chance to talk on the phone with him. I just hope that he can be discharged soon."

The press conference for 我爱奥运，校园啦啦队大赛 was held in Beijing yesterday afternoon and the event location was packed with both mainland China and Hong Kong media as well as the welcoming fans of TVB's stars.
