Myolie Wu Signed with a Record Company to Become a Singer

Myolie Wu has signed with Neway Star Music to officially become a singer. Liza Wang and TVB executives Virginia Lok, Ho Lai Chuen, etc. appeared at today's event to support Myolie, while Eric Tsang, Andy Hui and Roger Kwok recorded clips to congratulate Myolie. However, rumoured boyfriend Bosco Wong haven't showed any signs of support; Myolie laughed: "I thought he would be in the recorded clips too, I'll tell him to buy my album when it releases. However, Bosco did send an SMS to congratulate me."

On the other hand, there are rumours saying that Neway originally wanted to sign Bernice Liu, but Bernice's conditions for signing a contract was too high. In addition, rumours to her being frozen by the company have led to the contract-signing falling through. Myolie replied that she doesn't know about the news/rumours.

As for reports saying that Neway originally wanted to sign Bernice Liu but it fell through due to Bernice's conditions to sign being too high, Myolie expressed that she was not sure about the reports, but the recording company have already contacted her one year ago. Virginia Lok also confirmed that Neway did not contact Bernice, but Gold Label's manager have often wanted Bernice to collaborate with them again, but because of company changes in Gold Label, plans have been cancelled.

Reports also stated that Bernice is frozen by TVB due to her requests for high fees; Virginia Lok denied the claims: "Why freeze her? Bernice is the artiste who helps the company earn the most fees. I've already asked Bernice before, because she's currently busy with filming movies and series, she wants to put singing aside temporarily." Virginia also expressed that she is currently helping Bosco Wong and Kate Tsui sign a record deal to release albums.

Neway Star general manager Wong Jo Booi also denied having contacted Bernice, and expressed that he thought Myolie had great potential, so he had been contacting Myolie for the past year now.

Myolie Wu Signs to become a Singer; Liza Wang Supports

Myolie Wu have signed with Neway Star Music to officially become a singer, and TVB's executives Virginia Lok and Ho Lai Chuen appeared at today's signing ceremony to support. Having cooperated with Myolie in War of In-Laws as the mother in-law, Liza Wang (Ah Jie) also appeared as a special guest at today's event.

Liza complimented Myolie's singing is pretty good, and she has a wide range in vocals. However, rumoured boyfriend Bosco Wong did not appear in person and without a present, reporters questioned Myolie about this. Myolie smilingly replied that she has received an SMS from Bosco to congratulate her.

Myolie said that she had dreamed to become a singer since she was 16, and at the moment she's planning to release her album in November. She also expressed that she was happy with the fees.

Yea, i doubt Myolie was the "second choice" like the rumors were mentioned. After all, there are many record companies and everyone denied it, so yea...CONGRATZ TO MYOLIE! CAn't wait to hear her songs!!

Myolie Wu officially signed a music contract with Neway Star Music yesterday and will be entering the music industry. Her debut album will be released in November. For the Grand ceremony TVB excutives Virginia Lok, Hor Lai Chuen and Liza Wang etc were invited. Also other artistes that have worked with her in the past such as Eric Tsang, Andy Hui, Roger Kwok etc filmed a small video clip to congrulate her which was shown on the big screen. As for rumored boyfriend Bosco Wong, there was no sight of him. When the host announced that the next guest is someone especially close, Myolie also thought it was Bosco, but unexpectedly Liza Wang appeared. Although Myolie was alittle shocked she approached Liza accepting a hug and kiss.


When Myolie was 16 years old she entered the Chinese singing contest in England and won the most potential award. This time she's finally able to release her own album. She smiles and says it has fufilled her dream. Although she felt alot of pressure while recording, she was also very happy and nervous too. She says "I am not worried about the album sales because I am an actress turned singer. The audience will also need to slowly adapt to it. But I will ask my friends to buy my album to increase the sales."(Bosco never appeared and had no juk hoh clips?) " I had received a SMS from him earlier asking me to add oil. Virginia Lok Denies Freezing Bernice Liu

Reports claimed that the same record company originally wanted to sign Bernice Liu, but due to her requesting Pop Queen requirements it didn't work out. Myolie stated that she wasn't clear of the reports. As for Myolie she stated the record company had approached her a year ago. Virginia Lok stated that Bernice has never been in contact with that record company. As for Bernice requesting a high price and being frozen by TVB at the time and not being signed up. Virgina Lok denied the reports. "Why would she be frozen? Bernice is the artist that earns the most in the company. I asked her, recently she has been busy in television and movie work. That's why she said she will temporary put singing aside." She also revealed that she is currently helping Bosco Wong and Kate Tsui in getting a record deal. The general manager of Neway Star Music also denied that he had previously contacted Bernice. He stated that he felt Myolie had alot of potential and approached her last year.

OOoO.. That seems grand. Since Neway is such a new and small company, maybe she has the potential to be the big sister of the company LOL. If Stephy Tang can be yut jeh, I don't see why Myolie shouldn't rofl *rolleyes*
